Since our founding in November 1962, we have produced and distributed pre-cooked dishes and fish-paste products. In January 1983, however, we decided to change our business and started the manufacture and distribution of seafood extracts such as oyster extracts, soups, sauces and dipping sauces. Now some 28 years later, we have developed into a company that has a strong presence in the industry of seafood extracts and liquid seasoning. Our products are distributed mainly for business use and food-processing use, and we are most delighted when our customers find pleasure and value in using our products.

We will continue to make efforts and improvements to enhance the quality of our products in our daily operations, while holding onto our basic principle as a food manufacturing company. We will continuously produce valuable products for our customers.

Our history

November 1962 Founded in Gion-cho, Hiroshima-shi as a food factory of a food wholesale company, Nakamurakaku Co., Ltd.
July 1967 Established as Kakusan Foods Co., Ltd. with a capital of 1,000,000 yen. Bunji Adachi assumed the post of president. Produced fish-paste products (chikuwa fish paste and deep-fried fish cakes), sausages, whale bacon, etc.
March 1970 Giso Harada assumed the post of president
October 1977 Capital increased to 34,000,000 yen
September 1978 Relocated to 7-4-18 Shoko Center, Nishi-ku, Hiroshima-shi (current location)
June 1982 Kakutaro Nakamura assumed the post of president
January 1983 Decided to discontinue the manufacturing of fish-paste products and to switch business to the manufacturing of seafood extracts such as oyster extracts
June 1986 Seiro Nakamura assumed the post of president
April 1993 Completed partial refurbishment of the factory
June 1993 Seiro Nakamura assumed the post of chairman;
Tetsuro Nakamura assumed the post of president
July 1996 Purchased 1,130 m2 of adjacent land
March 2002 Completed the construction of a new three-story factory (total area 1,870 m2) and refurbishment of the existing factory (total 1,440 m2) on the adjacent land
